Jungian Psychotherapists Association presents the following public seminar
for professionals, with
Ann Ulanov.
Jung is known for his concept of individuation, defined as the archetypal urge toward wholeness of personality, an urge described as the most ruthless in the psyche. This process is ruthless because we are driven to include all the parts of us, to go back to experience consciously what we may have survived but not integrated. This inclusion means we embark on a hunt for the missing parts: the lost ones, those rejected, and those we feared as too wonderful to receive. Often the parts hunt us, wanting to be included. The new ones then address us, summoning us here and now. This mix and match of our intentions and the intentions of the psyche leads to transition even change. To consent brings the necessity of hope as well as surprise at the resilience of the psyche.
