The JPA offers three categories of membership: Full, Associate, and Supportive. Full and Associate categories require active participation in task groups.
Full: To become a full member you must be a practicing psychotherapist with a graduate degree in one of the mental health disciplines and you must be certified or licensed, as your degree requires, in your home state or province. In addition, you must have completed at least 100 hours of personal analysis with a Jungian Analyst who is a member of the IAAP, International Association of Analytical Psychology.
Associate: To become an associate member you must be a practicing psychotherapist with a graduate degree in one of the mental health disciplines, and you must be registered, certified, or licensed, as your degree requires, in your home state or province. In addition, you must have completed at least 25 hours of personal analysis with a Jungian Analyst who is a member of the IAAP. Associate members must meet the requirements for full membership within two years of joining to continue to be members of the JPA; may apply for extension.
Supportive Benefactor: To become a supportive benefactor member, you must be a practicing psychotherapist with a graduate degree in one of the mental health disciplines and be either certified or licensed, as your degree requires, in your home state or province. Dues include annual meeting, council meetings and retreat, and annual ethics workshop. Supportive members may attend workshops and the public event by paying the guest fee. This category does not have voting rights, referral listing, nor eligibility for out-of-area status.
